"Did not like the module. I am sure a lot of students can find an area they will be interested in, but since there is only one lecture per method, you can't possibly get enough information for the assessment (paper critique). The assessment is marked by respective lecturers and moderated by the coordinator (not sure if they have the specialist knowledge to understand all the areas?), so not sure if the assignments can be compared across methods. The requirements and guidance are extremely vague, providing very little support for doing the assessment. I think that contradictory information was presented on the module and in the assessment feedback (eg. it was said to focus on a few specific issues whereas in the feedback it was highlighted that all areas of the paper needed to be commented on). Disappointed with this module."
